The challege: automating secondary packaging with a sustainable approach
Diva’s goal was to automate secondary packaging, reducing materials, time, and production steps. The objective: to create ready-to-distribute multipacks that are sustainable and easy to handle on the line. Tiber Pack took on the challenge by designing a complete packaging line and selecting Etipack as a strategic partner for the supply and integration of the labelling system.
The solution: customized line for product conveying and horizontal labelling
The collaboration between Tiber Pack and Etipack led to the creation of a high-precision automated line for producing horizontal multipacks of wet wipes. Individual packs are fed onto the main conveyor belt and stacked into groups of two to six units. Two opposing side belts with a high-grip coating keep each group stable and perfectly centered during the labelling process.
At the heart of the line are two Etipack Energy labellers arranged in a mirror configuration, which simultaneously apply the side labels. The large-format labels, up to 250 mm wide, securely bind the packs together, creating compact, stable, and easily handled multipacks.
The system ensures high productivity — up to 100 single packs per minute at the infeed and 50 multipacks per minute at the outfeed — with precise and consistent label application, even at high speeds. Format changeovers are fully automatic and can be completed in just a few minutes, without the need for additional tools. The painted steel structure guarantees stability during production and is equipped with lockable wheels to facilitate movement within the production area, ensuring accurate and steady label application at all times.

The Results: Production efficiency and reduced environmental impact
The line developed by Tiber Pack and Etipack enabled Diva International to implement a fully automated and sustainable system, using labelling as the sole method of secondary packaging.
The new system makes it possible to eliminate additional packaging, reduce plastic usage, simplify internal logistics, and optimize stock management. Process automation reduces the need for manual labour and improves the overall efficiency of the production line.
The result is an efficient, low-impact system that redefines the concept of multipack in the personal care sector.
